This video shows a grade 4 math class engaging in some very forward thinking on basic math ideas. After taking a fantastic math solutions conference this summer, I am very dedicated to making my students think in class. Although this should sound rather silly, I find kids do not know how to challenge their own thoughts and develop their ideas on their own and with their peers. These teachers used a variety of different medias to challenge the thinking of thier students and make their understanding richer and more concrete. After engaging with some of the content of this course I could see the kids creating a blog after they understood more patterns to record their learning and share it with others
